People keep licking their fingers after eating it. There is no comparison to the taste of this chaat which has been sold for years.
Sumit Chaturvedi, owner of a shop known as Jalesar Mishthan Bhandar near Firozabad Clock Tower, said that his shop is about 165 years old. Earlier his father used to run this shop, the aloo chaat available at his shop is quite famous. Which is prepared from pure oil and potatoes.
Started Aloo Chaat with Rs 5
The shopkeeper told that first his father started making sweets and then gradually he started making potato chaat. Earlier the price of this chaat used to be ₹5. But gradually with inflation its price also increased, today this Aloo Chaat of ₹ 40 is sold indiscriminately. There is no comparison to its taste also.
Aloo Chant is prepared with dates and raisins.
The shopkeeper told that the potato chaat prepared at his place is prepared in a very special way. In this chaat, dates, raisins and many other dry fruits are added. Apart from this, gram is also added to it, which doubles the taste of this Aloo Chaat. Not only Firozabad but people from Tundla, Agra, Etawah come to eat it. There is a lot of crowd at his shop in the evening.
